FAQ

  • What is the "plant of the week"?
Our greenhouse grows plants all year round and we often have plants available for purchase immediately. We post weekly sales to our Instagram and Facebook pages (if you don't use either of these networks, don't worry - you can visit the website from time to time to see what sales are available).
  • How can I retrieve my purchase?
Collection is possible all year round at the greenhouse every Thursday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. If you would like a different schedule, please contact us directly. During market season (May - October) you can request that your plant be brought on a specific day to a market near you for collection. Pre-orders will be available for pickup between May 10 and June 15. We will contact you closer to this date to arrange a pick-up day.
  • I can't go to the greenhouse to pick up my order, what should I do?
If you cannot make it to the greenhouse to pick up your plants, please contact us as soon as you can. In spring, summer and autumn we can also take your plant to one of the local markets for your pick up (but this must be arranged before hand).
  • Do you deliver or ship your products?
We currently do not offer delivery of our live plants. Many of these plants are very sensitive to temperature changes and could not withstand third party shipping to areas other than Montreal. For regions inside Montreal, we are looking into a reliable third party for shipping, but at this time we are unable to ship your plants to you. We offer worldwide shipping of all our seeds via Canada Post.
  • What is a pre-order and how does it work?
Many people find it difficult to grow plants from seeds or cuttings, especially when it comes to tropical plants. During the winter months, you can order your plants in advance. We will sprout and nurture them until they are strong enough to plant outside (mid to late May). When your plant is ready, we'll send you an email indicating when you can pick it up (at our greenhouse or at a local farmers market).
  • Do you offer workshops on how to care for my new ethnic plants?
We are currently designing workshops for beginners, as well as certificate courses for those looking for more in-depth information.
  • "What's the difference between a 'pre-order' and a 'plant of the week'?"
Pre-orders will be available for pick-up in the spring (early May), and "plants of the week" will be available for pick-up the following Thursday, at the greenhouse.
